Structural design (TWP)

The aim of TWP is to ensure the required load-bearing capacity & serviceability of the building structure during the intended service life – in harmony with the requirements for economy & aesthetics.

As a rule, static calculations are used for this challenge. In exceptional cases, tests serve as proof of feasibility.

The structural calculations are based on load and load-bearing capacity assumptions and calculation models, which are usually taken from the relevant standards.

Structural engineers are often referred to colloquially as structural engineers.
